I got a feeling this is going to spank the tx/ti. Check Nvidia out, dropping a card before its competitors big launch, it's as if they know they are in for a kicking so are making hay while the sun shines.

The people who will drop over 500 notes on a card will know that AMD have a competing product coming within a month. If they buy the 980ti regardless, let's face it - they weren't ever going to buy an AMD card anyway.

My last nvidia card was a geforce 3 ti 500 which was way back in 02/03 I think, since then its been ATI which I've always been happy with but my current gfx card is showing its age and I want to upgrade. I hope its the fiji xt but if I absolutely have to, I will go for the 980ti.

So ATI better have pulled their finger out this time :)

I hope it does spank the 980ti, competition is good. But if the 980 ti comes in at a price I am comfortable with and its on the shelves I will buy it.

Long over due for an upgrade and been holding off for an age.

Some clear information from A.M.D now would be good.

They could also be positioning themselves to make AMD have to revise their launch prices downwards or risk embarrassment. Who knows?

I got a feeling that NVidia have been watching all the disgruntled AMD users who are not happy with the support from AMD and decided to take as many of the AMD users who are ****ed off as possible. With only rumours coming from websites about the AMD 390X/Fury/Fiji and not even knowing if it will be 4/8GB, NVidia are grabbing the Bull by the horns and teaching it a lesson.

No fear here, I'm actually hoping it's a good deal better then I can sell up pocket some change and have the best single card performance still :)

I wish freesync was in a better place though.

In a better place? Have they still not done CF and Freesync yet then?

Not yet.

It's not that I'm worried about it's the fact current monitors may need sending back the the manufacturer to get overdrive working with freesync (to prevent ghosting) and then there's the lower range than gsync still.

Thought ASUS had it sussed till their model was announced to only work between 35-90hz :(

Yup, means I won't consider the 390 even if it has a 20% lead over the 980Ti at the same price!!! Software support is soooooooo crucial, don't realise what you have til it's gone :(

That sucks. I am still considering getting one but more so for my Youtube channel and being able to run side by side comparisons between AMD and Nvidia's top cards.
