Theresa May Wants To Deport All Foreign Benefit Claimants!

So, if somebody comes over here, builds a life, contributes to society and starts a family unexpectedly loses their job they should be deported? Is that really reasonable?

They aren't here because we voted for it because we all thought they were splendid people,
they are here solely because politicians wanted cheap labour to fix the economy (or in the case of Labour, a cynical way of propping up their failing voter base).

I don't suppose anyone is going to pounce the moment they are laid off, but neither is it in our interests to fund a social system for the world's poor.

Most of the "welfare burden" is actually spent on pensions, why don't people get this. Let's just start killing old people then hey?

Sounds like a good idea to me. If British people live in other countries such as the USA or UAE and can't support themselves then they have to leave. It's about time we had a British government that ran the country for the benefit of British people, not foreigners. In fact, the idea sounds so sensible that I doubt the liberal, human rights brigade will allow it :(

....OK so I've extrapolated a little...

That effectively means everyone without a British birth certificate and is unemployed, or even on low pay or decent pay but struggles due to having a disabled child could theoretically be deported.

Listen I'm no hippie, and don't have an issue with immediate deportation of all convicted foreign criminals, but to be able to deport someone just because they're poor, regardless of whether they've done anything wrong or not sounds scary?

Great news, we have enough scourges in this country. If some one comes into this country and decides to break the law they should be kicked out immediately. And for god sake stop letting people in with criminal records in the first ****ing place!!

We all understand that this is an insignificant amount of money, but a splinter in your finger is an insignificant amount of wood too, it is still really annoying.

Politicians are there to fix stuff that we find annoying, and clearly the question of immigration ranked pretty high in the election.

I'm stuck with forking out for old people, but I'm damned if I want to contribute a bent farthing towards the upkeep of an unemployed "imam", whose only "skill" is spouting retarded nonsense from the big book of pixie stories.

People do get that but they also recognise the fact that if you want public services then those public workers need to get a public pension.

Well considering the abuse of the system from that mechanic that doesn't show up due to how the cost coding works then I can only assume that's a good thing for greater society.

I know the numbers don't stack up but the state pension is a "paid for" benefit, it has to be earned you can't just walk up and claim it.

Poor foreigners get the boot, now that's a headline !

No mention of going after the oligarch's who are domiciled elsewhere therefore have no liabilities to our country where they live.

The Tory's continue their spin; make sure the have nots' keep sticking it to the really have nots'

You're kind of in the wrong forum to be asking that question, given how right wing this place is. Half the people here would probably have them shot on sight for being poor and their foreign family billed for the cost of the bullet.

Also, in before somebody says something like "Why not? China does that to criminals".
