Ok so after hearing Windows 10 gives a clean install option for upgrading users does this mean our 1 use Windows 8.1 keys turn into multiple use ?

The last time I tried to re-install Windows 8.1 the key wouldn't work again.

I know I could ask in the Windows 10 thread but it would just get lost in there :p

you have to call the activation line to re use it

Define "1 use Windows 8.1 key"?

He means OEM, they can be awkward to reactivate again automatically, so you'll often have to call Microsoft to activate it using that horrible phone activation method where you have to input a billion characters, and then the automated voice spits out a million more characters to you that you have to type in.

As per your last thread, there are no one time activation licenses.

You either need to phone up and activate, and if that still doesn't work contact ocuk.
But you dont seem willing to do either.

Oh its this guy again. Didn't we come to the conclusion he basically had an MSDN license from eBay?

He says he got it from ocuk. In which case it's a transferable OEM license.
And all he has to do is when he phone activates press 1 when it asks how many pcs it's installed on. And don't even have to talk to anyone.

So yes probably lying and purchased an MSDN key which has been blocked.

The question from "This guy" *Nice way of being extremely rude by the way* was about a fresh install of windows which Microsoft recently advertised but I was wondering if anyone had any more tid bits of info.

I am willing to do it and have done quite recently, Don't presume anything just because I haven't stated otherwise.

The reason I'm asking about W10 is MS haven't given specific instructions if you can use the same 8.1 key and auto activate on a fresh install or if you have to ring up.

You obviously have not as your still calling it one time activation, so clearly still haven't sorted it out.

Drop the attitude there's no need for it.

Ok then let me correct myself, A 1 time auto activation followed by a phone activation there after, Which I recently did.

If its an OEM key it will be upgraded to Windows 10.

You may have to phone up, you may not, but why does that even matter? Are you allergic to phones?!

If only there was a massive Windows 10 thread full of tid bits of info... :p

I had a look but this wasn't mention ergo I made a new question which is generally what a forum is for.

Did everyone get up on the wrong side of the bed today

You may have to phone up, you may not, but who cares? Are you allergic to phones?!

I'm not bothered about phoning up I was just wondering if anyone had any slightly newer info, Seriously just drop the attitude, Like the other guy there's simply no need for it.

What newer info do you need? OEM Windows 8.1 keys will be upgraded to Windows 10 and can be clean installed. Thats all you need to know isn't it?

The fact you might have to call up rather than activate on-line is irrelevant.
