Hey guys,

I'd like to say that this was my first ever PC build and what a great one it's been

Basically, I installed everything and yes, I did plug in the 20+4 pin connector and the 4+4 pin CPU connector however, absolutely NOTHING turns on when I try to turn it on. Nothing on the fan, cpu, motherboard, power supply, hard drive - NOTHING

I'm not sure if this means I have any dead components or not but like i said, this is my first pc build so it could simply be an error. I was hoping someone would be able to help me as someone from OCUK told me that the forums are great and therefore, I'm new here :D

If I can't get the PC to work then I will take it to ** No competitor names ** as they charge £50 to fix it and I can get replacement components for free if any are broken however, I'd prefer to have it fixed ASAP.

Welcome, can you remove the link please as this contains competitors and recheck the FAQ.

Depending on your motherboard you may have a start button on it, if so does pressing that get the PC to boot?

Have you tried jumping the power on header with a screwdriver?

some pins were in the wrong place and others upside down :D

totally working now except 2/4 of the front usb ports

I'm guessing its the blue ones, the cable needs to connect to the usb 3 header on the mobo, have a look at the mobo manual, BUT some mobos have non std usb3 headers.

nope, the two usb 3.0 front ports originally didnt work but then they did after a driver install. however, no luck with the remaining front two usb 2.0 ports

i guess it's okay though seeing my motherboard has 8 usb ports and some of them are even usb 3.1
