Question on kebabs

can someone please remind me what the usual ingredients that are used in your typical UK
kebab shop for a typical kebab

(now living in the USA ) but missus and I fancy making some up.

From what I can remember it had

Meat and pita
Shredded cabbage
Tomato
Onion
Some type of pepper
Lettuce
Chilli sauce

Anything I'm missing ?

Sounds about right, usually yoghourt also to counter the chilli. This is what I used when tried it ages ago. Very important to add coriander and cumin to the lamb, really makes the dish.

I haven't got round to doing this yet but it's on the list and seems to be the closest to a dirty doner kebab

(also you can prepare as a mix of lamb and beef which may save you some $$$s given the price and availability of lamb in the US)

you should leave your kebab meat exposed to the elements like the shops do for the above
