Teaching assistant branded "predatory Mrs Robinson" found not guilty of having sex with student

Seems like the courts did what they were designed to do in this case to me?

Unless you'd rather accusation = guilty
 
Somehow I doubt the kid in question would make all this up, and maintain the story in front of police under questioning.

What probably happened was there was insufficient evidence to secure a conviction beyond reasonable doubt, and the fact women always get treated more leniently in matters such as this.
 
I think the OP glanced at an article, drew an incorrect conclusion and then posted here while they were busy popping a vein on their forehead out of rage.

Since the first half of that is true, the second half is just misogyny. Since she was not found guilty, technically she didn't do anything illegal, so any possible punishment is immaterial. And in any case, a quick perusal of cases coming to court suggests that both genders are punished about equally on actually being found guilty. Which is what you would expect given rigid sentencing guidelines.

I suspect the PF/CPS are now putting these sorts of sexual offences to court regardless of the evidence to slopey shoulder a decision not prosecute. There's a been a couple of instances in Aberdeen where cases have went to court and it was a case of WTF is this even doing in court.
 
I am crazy lonely, I would have loved if a female teacher diid that with me... Only, none of my teachers I had looked good, so that sucked...
