What do you think of this build?

Hi guys,

So I've just upgraded my graphics card to a computer that is just less than a year old. I originally bought it to do work on and not for gaming, but I decided that I wanted to do some now. My budget wasn't stupendously huge, but I wanted a fairy decent computer at a good price.

Anything you think you would change immediately? Or anything you think will need changing next?

Thanks :)

Are you buying in the US?

I wouldn't pair an APU with a discreet GPU, especially not a mid power one like the one you have chosen as the CPU in the APU isn't very strong

For $600 I imagine you can do better, such as a Pentium K or i3 which are stronger CPUs than the APU you picked for starters, and perhaps a cheaper SSD (that one seems awful expensive for USD) and a better PSU

Competitors name is still in the screenshot at the bottom.

Jesus Christ... XD It's a competitor's name? *sigh* Changed again then.

What games and at what resolution do you want to play?

Well, I mean, any modern game at a decent speed at a decent resolution - nothing particular really. I just don't want to struggle playing games at a fairly decent quality. :)

The 960 is a pretty good card for achieving good settings at 1080p.

What will start to hold you back (in the near future) if you get more into gaming is the CPU. For light-casual the CPU power and iGPU are good but for higher end gaming it may struggle.

A second hand Intel i5 setup would work wonders, you could may wait 6-12 months and see how it fairs and if your appitite for better performance grows.
