****Official Project CARS thread****

I was starting to struggle playing it using Helmet cam view and I have found that switching to bonnet view helped loads. I love the rain effects.

Is it just me or do people struggle with the bonnet view on a clear day when the car has reflective paint work? The reflections seem to really throw me off (harder to tell which way the car is going) :p

EDIT: Also what sort of wheels are people using on the PS4? Any recommendations?

Damn no pressure sensitive accelerator on the buttons. I play in manual and use the triggers for the gears. I can get away with in on Forza due to the easier handling but on this it's a no go. I really need to feather the throttle but it's either on or off at the moment.

I wanted to keep this game too. :(

Pretty certain on a PS4 they are pressure sensitive as whenever I end up on the grass I gently accelerate off instead of wheel spinning everywhere.

I'm back off holiday now so will be on this today/tomorrow, it'll be like starting all over again :D

alx; I've got a Fanatec GT2 and Fanatec CSR Elite on PS4, will be playing with them both this week. Prefer the feel of the GT2 wheel but it's not 100% working (bought off eBay) just to see if I liked it or not. It'll probably be going up for sale on MM for £50 though as I will probably keep the CSR.

Cheers :). Shame it's not working properly, what is wrong with it?

There was definitely a gap

Yes. But the buttons are not. I play manual and always use the triggers for the gears.

Every GT game since GT3 has allowed pressure sensitive buttons. :(

It's not a case of allowing it the controller doesn't have pressure buttons anymore.

Triggers for accelerator and brake, and triangle/square for gears has become the default for driving games the last several years.

I'll be on this for an hour or so if anyone fancies jumping on. Not played for 2 weeks so should be erm, interesting :D

Jesus the old Escorts are near impossible to race, as soon as AI touches me I go flying. So much rage.

Any news on when the PS4 patch is due?

Should be fairly soon hopefully (couple of weeks): http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sh...ll-Platforms-Upcoming-Patch-1-4-Release-notes

Yeah the Escorts are a pain, not the biggest fan of them.
