Oc UK reduce prices on 980 and other tier cards?

just enquiring if the prices have been slashed/reduced since the GTX 980ti been lunched or not or will they be reduced when Amd introduce their new card on the 16th that all.

It has been reduced for the 980 but only by £20-30 I think.

Yeah but not by much. Whatever you're opinion on it ,they don't need to drop them. I think that much has been proven by the fact the Titan X is still selling despite the Ti release

Well considering the ti is practically unobtainable currently some people are going for the titan x instead.

Ref versions are available all over the shop...providing you are willing to cast your net out a bit further afield.

Even before they were gone people were choosing to pick up titans (myself included) and that's just on these forums that we know about.

No....not 'a lot' further afield at all.....before today, several German outlets had supplied of various brands of ref cards. Today, ref cards are around at the usual UK outlets.....

......but who would really want one? (silly question I know, cos there seem to be plenty folks chomping at the bit to get one of these toasting hot hair dryers in their desktop towers)

The smart 980 ti gamer is going to go for the EVGA Hybrid, which kind of tells you that these particular cards are going to be a nightmare to get hold off when they come more widely available, with the no doubt inevitable price gouging which will follow.

what usually happens is prices will stay firm, or drop by for instance £20, its to get more people to buy the new tier card (980ti), once the hype has died down and the card is easily available you will see the 980 take a big price drop.
