I need a large hollow ring, but with a square profile, in clear acrylic/perspex/glass. About 1 meter diameter, and about 1 inch profile.

Anyone got even the slightest idea where to start?

Slippery Neville's Adult Novelties (Birmingham branch). Ask for Herb and tell them I sent you.

I very much doubt anywhere is going to sell a 1m square of Perspex 1 inch thick with a hole ready cut into it just on the offchance that somebody needs one. You'll need it custom making. :p

Find a sheet of 1m x 1m x 1" perspex, purchase, and take to a local company to cut to shape for you?

A CAD drawing of what you're after would be a good place to start. It sounds simple enough that you don't even need CAD, just a quick pencil diagram with measurements.

Then you need to find a fabrication/machining company, preferably one that has CNC machinery.

Here's a couple I found using Google who work with acrylic.:

http://www.carvilleplastics.com/acrylic-machining/

Search for acrylic machining + your location.

Also, as above, don't interchange imperial and metric otherwise they will add an extra 25% surcharge. In fact don't even interchange millimetres with centimetres on the same drawing. Just state all measurements in millimetres.

Whys switching between them so hard, 1 inch = 25.4 mm :)

Anyway. Thanks for recommendations on the sex shops.

Would any of them have a 10 litre bottle of lubricant?

Because imagine you were the guy who's dayjob it was to input measurements. If everyone interchanged units of measurement which forced you to spend time doing mundane conversions which take longer than inputting the actual figure, sooner or later you would want to kill yourself.
