Overtightening/unevenly tightnened wheel nuts can also cause it

Malfunctioning calipers are also a factor

Also crap/cheap discs do this

If you do this it also stops the discs from cooling evenly then the disc can warp.

Also parking up with the handbrake on when the brakes have been warmed enthusiastically

Rust build up between the mounting face and the disc is pretty common reason for that warped disc feel as well. So many issues can be solved by a good strip and clean.

Using heavily and then getting them wet can cause it too.

Not cleaning the drive flange face on fitting a new disc.
Poor quality manufacture.
Over heating / lack of adequate cooling
Incorrect bed in procedure.
Applying the brake pads in a stationary position for an extended period on a hot disc.

I had a warped disk that I think was caused by a stuck slider pin - so the disc was clearly overheating, and then parked with the handbrake on.

yeah most of the above is what i had been thinking of my self
just trying to figure out if its something i can avoid around 12k to a set of discs aint great!
but least its being covered under warranty

Yeah you're right if you're coming to a temporary stop, I'd rather sit on the handbrake than ride the clutch.

When I park up I always leave it in gear though.
