Hi all

I am aware that my version of 'decent' may be a lot less than some on here :D

I've been looking for a new car for years but my money was tied up in various motorbike purchases over the years. However i'm now fed up with the lack of use I get out of biking and have decided to sell, my bike will get around 6k (kawasaki vn2000).

For the last few years ive been driving a Mondeo or an 1995 astra :) Both cars have been pretty reliable but I would now like something that feels special when I get into it. My wife will continue to drive the mondeo, im not sure if i'll keep the astra as my transport to and from work. My budget will be around £5500/£6000, I don't really care about having the latest model and I'm quiet happy to go down the years to get something nice. I am currently looking at 5 series BMW's, this one has really caught my eye:

I have heard some horror stories about the autobox in these, this one looks particularly well looked after but I am after some advice/guidance.

Cheers guys

Probably best with something other than an E60 with cloth seats then.

Compared to what I am driving at the moment half leather would feel like absolute luxury :)

For the money though what do you think of the car? I know your a bit of a BMW expert Fox so would appreciate any feedback.
