Las Vegas

Strange to say - look for the MVF Las Vages one, couple of good places to eat on there - Can't remember there anmes, but it's on YouTube some were

Be sure to check out the Mob Museum in Downtown Vegas...pretty good way to spend a few hours. Also if you have a car I would recommend 1/2 day at the Valley of Fire State Park...about a 45-60 minute drive north of Vegas.

We have also stayed at the Signature, in some ways its great to be slightly away from the mayhem of the strip. The apartments are great especially if you get one on a high floor with balcony and views of the strip. Its about a 5 minute walk in a covered walkway from the Sig towers to the MGM; about a 10 minute stroll to the Strip/Planet Hollywood/Miracle Mile

Thanks for more very useful replies

4 months to go!

I have just had a mate come back (who is rich) and kept telling me how im going to struggle getting in to clubs being 2 guys. This maybe true but how true is this exactly? I live in London and know exactly how awkward getting in big clubs with just dudes can be.

We are also thinking about renting a car for a couple days, any places I should definitely go with access to a car?

Cosmo would win by a long way out of those 2

Cool will have a think.

I'd imagine you'll be fine if you get a table/bottle service and dress well. But that'll be a $500-$1000 minimum.

Hoover dam is a nice afternoon trip.

Btw the pool party's are the best things to attend. Everyone just gets on with each other, there are no arses, so many hot women!

Like 95% of the women I saw were extremely hot, very rare you saw a munter!

the fact that it is a pool party acts like a filter for fat chicks... granted it doesn't stop chavs in Spanish resorts but in the US it seems to work

when nearly everything is on display the hams don't feel to comfortable being there

are pool parties on in october or is out of season?

A ria (why can't I type that as a word?) is a nice hotel. It's no Encore/Wynn but it's really nice. Hit some of the clubs, if you like that sort of thing but book prior as it's a pain to queue. I liked Encore beach club and Marquee the best as the space is bigger.
I was there last month. It was awful... :p

Depends what you like really though. Only tip a dollar for drinks in casinos, it's all that's expected. Sapphire is a good ladies club. Treasures is supposed to be too (according to friends).
Downtown doesn't do much for me, but I was based half my time down there due to the event. I prefer the strip; better food, clubs, casinos etc.

You can't type it as a word because it's also the name of a competitor!

But as far as the A ria goes I can't recommend it enough - we stayed in a corner suite which was amazing enough (far better than the Wynne imo) but got upgraded to a Sky Suite because of a leak in the room above us and just WOW!!!!!!

Huge bedrooms at either end with a full size sitting room, dining room and kitchen in between - far too big for 2 people!!! Whirlpool baths in each bathroom as well as massive shower cubicles with steam facilities!

Added to which the complimentary buffet including drinks, pastries etc and then free limo ride to the airport - hands down the best room I've ever stayed in!

Google "The Laundy Room Secret Bar" and make sure you visit it. Best (and smallest) bar I visited when i went. The bar is themed to be an early 1920's prohibition bar with some great whiskeys on offer (Great if you are fan of Boardwalk Empire). It is located on Fremont Street which is also a must visit.

I stayed in The Bellagio which has a great breakfast buffet but the best breakfast I had was at the Bacchanal buffet in Caesar's Palace.

this. I did the same when I went. Also get tickets for a few shows noteably La Reve at the wynn http://www.wynnlasvegas.com/Entertainment/LeReve

I went to that show and it was amazing, best 90 bucks i ever spent

You got conned by the West Rim and therefore have not visited the Grand Canyon proper.

:(

The proper Grand Canyon is a National Park and as Rotty says, no helicopters allowed.

Been a few times now and already eyeing up next years trip!

I stay at Planet Hollywood - not the best casino (but good), but a great location, right where you want to be and cheap. Also has PF Changs and Gordon Ramsey Burgr joint... amazing.

As mentioned, don't pay for drinks - gamble and tip.
**** is an expensive hotel in general, but it's a great hotel.

battlefield las vegas is brill, deffo try that. So much fun going shooting, the first time you do it, it really blows your mind.

next year I'm sky diving over there, bring it on! :D

Burgr is a great casual dining option, really enjoyed that whilst we were there. :)

Prime at the Bellagio was also awesome for an upmarket steak place.

Steak is also great (Gordon Ramsey Paris) the Beef Wellington is out of this world.

There's Nobu just down the strip too, which is also great (but expensive!)
