CoolIT Vantage Beep (And not cooling CPU!)

Hello.
I've had a CoolIT Vantage liquid CPU cooler installed in my PC for a few years now. Over the years I have had an occasional problem where the cooler will beep a warning at me. Each time a quick blast with some compressed air on the fans has solved the issue... untill today.

I have disassembled the fans and completely cleaned the radiator, and removed the pump from the CPU, cleaned off the old thermal paste, and reapplied some new. But no matter what I try, I keep getting the warning beep.

I am not 100% sure what the display is showing, but if I'm reading it correctly its saying the pump isn't running fast enough, around 500rpm. I have ordered a new cooler (a Corsair Hydro 105 ), but I just wondered if anyone knew why my old cooler decided to act up. Do you think the pump has had it? Is there anything else I could try before my new cooler arrives?

Sometimes it is just age, most likely the pump has had it,

How old is it?

You are lucky that the pump just packed up as these things are well known to spring a leak and kill systems. Coolit are to be avoided.

How old is it?

Its hard to say how old it is, because I can't remember if I bought it when I first built my computer, or if it replaced a different cooler.

Either way, I think its got to be at least 3 years old, maybe as much as 5 years.

Right, got my new Corsair H105 installed, works like a charm. I had to install it slightly different, with the radiator on the inside of the internal case, and the fans on the outside. Because the instructions show them in a push configuration, I decided to set them up with one push and one pull. It's a quick fix to swap them to both pull or push if need be. Unless I can find some slim fans, I won't be able to install them inside though, because my RAM gets in the way.

They aren't the quietest of fans, but I fiddled with the Asus Fan Xpert, so they only really ramp up when the computer is under load. When it's idling, I'm getting around 32-40c, and the fans are running at 30%, and are almost silent.
