I am building a relatively quiet system and I have got my eye on a ALC simply for ease of installation and RAM compatibility. However in the past I have had a lot of quality problems from the Corsair ALC's when it comes to pump noise. Any suggestions on ALC's that are known for having quiet pumps?

CPU cooled in question would be a 4790K (no OC)

Personally I don't see the point of an AIO if you won't be overclocking. You can get a compact air cooler that will be quiet and easy to install.

There is every point in a AIO, they take up less space around the socket area, creating more air flow around there, hence lower VRM temps.

They look nice (If your going for looks)
But all in all, if your overclocking to a decent rate, then for todays standards a custom loop is a very good option.

Raijintek Triton pump is totally silent (unless you have your ear a couple of mm away from it, which I did to make sure it was running!) @ 3000RPM which I run at.

Awesome cooler.
