BMW actuator repair cost Door not unlocking

What would be the cost of repairing the actuator on a faulty door? checked and replaced the fuses but the door catch refuses to open .. have to manually open .. although every now and again it will work

I have looked at on line videos showing how to do this.. but I dont have the time or the interest to do this... I was just wondering if anyone had this done and what kind of bill to expect

I shouldn't take long to whip off the door card and replace the actuator then it will only cost the price of the part and likely be quicker and more convenient than taking to some one to do it for you.

Worst part of the job is that removing door trim invariably breaks some/all of the trim clips (And sometimes the mountings too)

None of this is unrecoverable, but it can mean that jobs take longer and might be more of a ballache than you expect.

Nevertheless, just do it!

(Get yourself a set of trim removal tools, Surprisingly, they do actually work reasonably well (But you will still break stuff!))
