Making new "gaming" pc for mate, lending him my old 5850 gfx card for now. Had to argue that 300 budget was too low. Is this ok, he dont want used kit. tyvm.

Seems fine, not sure about the PSU though. Be sure to go through reviews on it. Otherwise I'd recommend spending £10 more on a SuperFlower Golden Green HX 450W PSU.
