Cycling along the Ratcliffe Highway yesterday through St. Mary Hoo, we went past a lovely big house and spied a gorgeous Ferrari 458 sitting on the drive....red with a black roof.

On the way home through Hoo St. Werburgh, the same car went past us - heard something rumbling up behind, assumed it was going to be a hatchback with an obnoxious exhaust, then it went past us. Couldn't take a photo, but gave him a thumbs up and he floored it back towards Chattenden. Lovely :)

What did you think of it?
To be honest, I went in thinking I might place an order, but afterwards and thinking about it whilst driving home in my own car I'm not so sure.

First thing, when you start it up the noise is glorious (measured it at 91dB on my phone, my TTS is 83dB), the acceleration is something else. The engine note when giving it beans is also glorious. The ride is firm, but the same as the standard A3 (had a 2l TDI as a courtesy car a couple of weeks back). Interior is decent compared to the standard A3, but I didn't like the cloth or whatever it was that covered part of the steering wheel.

Main advantage over my TT is that it is relatively prectical, you can put roof bars on to take bikes which is something I'm keen to get, the back seats fold down and give decent amount of space.

At the end of the day it is just an A3 though so it doesn't really have any street presence and the spec I was looking at was ~£49K. Ordering now for delivery in March/April next year.

Best spot on this page surely :D

Haha... don't know about that... I'd have the MG, Cayman, Mustang, Fez or M4 before any Maser :p

Thought it was funny... that was supposed to be parked... I assume the owner was sitting in that cafe worryingly watching over it... as it was Paris, so just about every car has a dent and they actually bump/move cars forwards and backwards to make bigger parking spaces for themselves... lol
