GTX 780 still a good card for 145 used?

Well a 290 is 230 pounds here in denmark brand new and 210 used (lol).. the 290x has sold for 300 pounds with the ASUS R9290X-DC2-4GD5 going for around 250 on sale and otherwise 300.. The guy that picked up my 780 lightning said he did so because he was tired of the heat of his crossfired 290(im betting he is using reference design though) and nvidia just hold their second hand value better. Ive seen second hand 290x for as low as 150 here in denmark and they dont sell that easy.. its stupid really cause the 290 and 290x are good performers.
