El Capitan back to Yosemite

Is it simply a case of downloading Yosemite off the App Store and reinstalling? This beta is a pain in the backside.

No, you'll likely get a warning that you can’t install an older version of Mac OS X over a newer one.

It's a pre-Beta in reality hence it being released only to Developers. Backup your data and internet recover your machine, or restore from an Time Machine Backup before you upgraded.

I won't upgrade a working OS to a Beta one for my main machine. I always add a test partition for the new version so I can run it alongside until it's stable and all my applications work.

Shouldn't have put it on my main machine really. Oh well.

It's beta it's meant to be a pain in the backside. Unless you are a developer and you submit bugs don't play around with it unless you are to accept it's a pain in the backside and you don't need to ask questions like this.

Oh I know, just haven't had these particularly annoying issues in previous betas. Namely printing not working and the Office 2015 bugging out!

I normally make a spare partition and then slap it on to that.
