Yodel this time.

Virgin were sending my new S6 to the wrong address, so they phoned yodel and got the address changed.

However, after phoning Yodel today, they informed me that the parcel had still been delivered to 61 and had been signed for by Robert Taylor (me). Impossible as I don't live there.

I know the people at 61 quite well. A nice young, successful family and would not steal a mobile phone. There is only one possibility.

The delivery driver has stolen my phone

Why do they do it. Don't they know stolen phones are blocked now?

Just needed to vent. I've now got to wait for an investigation to be completed before getting a replacement.

I don't know why companies still use them.

They work with margins so small, fractions of pennies, that corners are cut all the time. However, other companies work with similar margins and still make their business work well enough. Their culture is their biggest problem I feel.

Their customer service told me that the drivers have no idea what's in the parcels. I instantly found a YouTube vid, where someone had a HTC one nicked and the man at the depot confirmed that they know full well that they are phones in the parcel, just not what exact model they are.

I had one of their customer service team, it seemed more like a warehouse man who felt using the '**** me' comment after each sentence brought him closer to his customer who was moaning about his expensive book being left out in the rain by an idiot delivery driver. In 30 years of working around customer service teams it took my breath away, id never heard anything like it from someone talking with a customer. I touch the surface with this story, suffice to say I would not seek to use their services..

That's an opinion of yours, not fact.

Ruling out possibilities even if you are right isn't the wisest thing to do when accusing someone of stealing.

Sucks you lost your phone though.

Obviously, unless the companies sending out mobiles phones changed their style of packaging for every single parcel... :p

Have you asked at number 61? They may have signed for it and plan to give it to you? I'd assume you would have but you don't say you did in your post.

Pretty sure it was Yodel who pushed a card through my missus' door stating that a delivery had been attempted and the package was left in the garage. My missus doesn't have a garage!

Where it was was chucked over next door's garden fence where their sizeable beast of a dog had had a wonderful time with his new chew toy.

OP Can you trust me your tracking number? No promises mind. *

* I may, or may not work for Yodel, possibly (or not) working in client support until a recent promotion.

And I'm truly sorry for all these victims of these horrible couriers, but to me it is hilarious to hear how supposed genuine 'companies' go by their business in such a horrifically **** ed up way and carry on as usual.. Only Fools And Horses in the real modern world.

And once again, obviously I do not find the victims of these idiots situation funny at all. Specially you OP with a nice new S6 :( That really is a bad one
