Also, why in God's name does Kaapstad intend on buying Fury X when he has nigh on 4 grands worth of graphics cards that he believes will beat fury anyway?

I appreciate people spending money how they like but it seems like nothing more than a money wasting exercise.

He normally has both vendors cards, Easy to see what works best on each and whats each's Strengths/weakness's are when you have them both to try

Surely they will show what it can do? They've been building up to this for too long. They must know of the hype surrounding it, i mean they created at lot of it with the whole "It's coming" campaign.

Show all cards put up the slides, games supported with the engines maybe Johan andersson from dice makes an apperance the Nitro engine with Brad likely. Its a game event so LiquidVR, new games DX12 and amd support etc..
It might not be a performance bench day though.

Because I don't know what will come out on top.

I also enjoy finding out what stuff can really do rather than waffle on writing walls of text.

My best guess is for 1080p and 1440p the new AMD cards will take some beating.

For 2160p in multi GPU setups the 4gb of memory on the cards will be a big let down as 4gb is 4gb, this is the answer DM had so much trouble giving.:D

I like using both AMD and NVidia cards and have a lot of fun with both.

The Titan X has some weaknesses too and it's not the drivers.

I have been waiting for 9 months for amd to release this ****ing card .coz my 4k screen is a beast and needs the right master to control it.

****ing 9 months no ****ing gaming.i got so many games to catch up like farcry 4,gta 5

well writing that might have a green troll coming for you tonight :)
yea testing for yourself is the best option.

I think until the reviews come out we should not be making assumptions about the framebuffer limitations quite yet. Both the GK204 and Tonga punched well past their weight due to colour compression even though they had 256 bit memory controllers,so we don't know if they have been researching new stuff to improve memory utilisation.

+1

Titan X weakness is the memory when running massive resolutions like 8k, strange how DM did not know that.:D

I don't worry too much about drivers not always being up to scratch with either AMD or NVidia as this can be fixed with a driver updated. A good example was Shadow of Mordor which had useless SLI support but this has been fixed in the latest drivers.

Who knows maybe they'll show a few numbers. At least something to make people happyish.

I also posted when the 980s launched that they has a problem with their bus/memory @2160p and have so far managed to avoid the green troll.:D
