It could be interesting if/when clarkson launches a competitor...

Evans with his scripted repertoire that he repeats mon-fri on radio 2 is boring enough, then he has to rake in some more money by going on the One Show, now this.

Just going to wait for the real Top Gear to reboot on some other network, Chris Evans isn't a suitable replacement for Jeremy. Nor is anyone else a good replacement for James and Richard; Top Gear was Top Gear because of those 3, not some name and a script.

I have the same opinion on this. The last 10 months or so, goddam his slot on Radio 2 is boring to the point of annoying.

Honestly not a huge amount to discuss. We're always going to have the select few who will say that "it could work" purely for the reason that it hasn't yet failed (as it hasn't started yet, obviously), however in the real world Top Gear is now just another car show. Doesn't matter who is presenting it (Chris Evans is dull enough for The One Show, for goodness sake).

Nothing wrong with that as many other shows have settled for being "another car show", however you're a nutter if you think it'll be even a tiny patch on anything involving the other four (Wilman is of course included in that).

Never really thought he would be the right man for the job. No where near as funny or entertaining as Clarkson and he will always be compared to him because he was Top Gear along with James and Richard who added a lot to the show as well.

Hope the 3 of them launch their own show and go back to the old days when Top Gear was just for petrol heads and didn't cater so much to the "casual audience" I miss that show quite a lot.

Doubt he'd have said yes for less though - a lot will depend on who the other presenters are - I don't personally think hes that bad a choice but he can't carry it alone.
