I'm quite a big fan of his, his boundless energy and his morning Radio 2 show is quite refreshing. Top Gear needed a change anyway, it had got stale and has not been funny for quite a few years now.

Not a massive fan of Chris Evans but by all accounts he's a huge car fan which is a fact I've not heard him go on about in his other shows, so maybe this is the platform needed to make it work.

The old Top Gear format was tired and boring and much as I liked him Jeremy Clarkson got what he deserved.

I'm going to give it a chance and then make up my mind.
