Hi all

I'm about to start reaserching my new build. The last pc I built was about 5 years ago now and I am ready for a new project. I curenttly have a budget of £1000
I am trying to get this to go a bit further. I have been out of the loop for years so I have lots to catch up on first. When I did my last build the Q9550 was the latest chip. What is a good base to build round now ? I am a 3d modeller by trade but love a game or two.

I will be lookin to water cool.

I am a bit lost of where to start. Any ideas would be great. I am looking to start from scratch again.

When you say Watercool do you mean a full closed loop? if so I doubt you'll be able to fit it into the budget. however if you're going with AIO coolers you should be ok?

Hi,
I am looking to build my own loop but I can't start to budget that in as I may reuse my rad etc. I will probably just look at a Cpu loop to start with. just not sure on all the hardware developments since my last build and where to go.

I am just looking for a tower I have a screen and the rest. .

Hi buddy.

Thank you so much for those baskets. That's the start i am looking for. I have a Thermaltake 850w power supply. Could i reuse this as its working fine ? and i have a spare 1TB drive.

Now this might sound really dumb but i love the look of the Parvum s2.0 Can i get as a powerful as system in that sort of size case ? it will only take a mATX board.

I in no way mind going for a big case. i currently have a huge Thermaltake case. i just fancy the challenge of what i could build into that Parvum.

I do not want to sacrifice power and quality of components for looks though.

Thank you buddy

Spot on budgeting configs there from Stulid - don't go lower than i7 based processor due to hyperthreading paying dividends in your 3D rendering :)

Yes you can reuse that PSU and HDD.

If the parvum takes mATX then theres little reason why the mATX X99 wont fit.

There is a cooler height restriction of 152mm, but a 240mm AIO cooler will solve that issue.

It also seems you need to add your own fans from the look of it.

Are there any other cases you like?

Sorry for the late reply

I have been doing some thinking and I think I will go for something smallish like the Pravum S2.0
I will be building a custome cpu loop but I will keep that outside from my 1K budget.

Does anyone have any mobo recomendations that would fit the S2.0
