I think the old saying is "I've never met a nice South African", and wishing anyone to be raped confirms that particular view.

When i saw the story earlier the purp. was indicated as being a lot older. That bowl cutted **** looks barely out of High school.

I'm pretty sure he will take his own life cos he wont be able to sit down again ever, after a day in prison there...

Why should it? I don't like racists, neither do my friends, this guy was given fair chance, it was his views coming out that got him in end. I don't care where anyone is from, we all have our fair share of racists, I was just replying to the other guy.

Your implication was that the only reason black people are being shot by cops is because they don't comply like white people do. There are tons of examples of where a black person and a white person have acted the same way yet the former was killed/arrested and the latter not.

Plenty of video evidence and successful civil lawsuits to counter what you've said.

And so they shouldn't because that would be a knee-jerk reaction. If you want to justify banning firearms, you need to look at the overall deaths caused by firearms. Theses massacres are a drop in a the ocean, but oddly enough people only cry gun control when they happen.

Indeed,

"Spree" killings are actually incredibly rare. They just make wonderful news

What is more, "Most" murders in the US are interracial. (IE people, mostly, only kill within their own group)

ISTR reading that around half of all US murders are actually represented by Black Men killing other Black Men! (12% of the over all population??)

Take this out of the overall statistics on violent/gun related murders and the USA isnt actually that much more dangerous than most of Europe, despite the very high levels of gun ownership.

Make of this what you will :/

Well the gun control is this country was a knee jerk to dunblane. However it clearly worked as no on walks into a church and guns people down, or shoots children at school, why? Because people can't get guns from the supermarket, until America works this out, more three year olds will shoot themselves
 
Obama is right in there making a lame political point about gun control, instead of addressing the rather more pertinent issue of decades of racial tension in America.

Black people are mainly killed by other blacks, and trying to limit guns is going to do nothing to stop this.

There is a big contextual difference between gang bangers (who know the risks of their lifestyles) killing each other in drive-bys and innocent people being mowed down with bullets whilst going about their daily lives.

I understand a death is still a death but it annoys me when people imply events like this shouldn't get that much attention because other people have been killed with guns too.
 
A white guy kills a bunch of black people, a very clearly racist white guy no less, and already by page 4 some people discussing the event have steered the topic towards, amongst other things:

  • How people should act around cops (ie. stop being so uppity and know your place)
  • 'Black on black crime' (ie. stop talking about young white men doing bad things, go back to wagging your finger at you know who)
  • How supposedly rare such events are (ie. Like seriously. Just stop talking about young white men doing bad things, go back to wagging your finger at those people. You're disturbing my world view and i don't like it)

I think you mean intraracial. Which of course is obvious, especially in such a racially segregated country like the USA. Hence partly why the majority of crime committed by white people is against white people..................'white on white crime' if you will. Which is just as irrelevant.

People "cry gun control" all the time in America. It's a highly politicised issue. It's brought into greater focus when we get mass shootings because mass shootings are very newsworthy, and the gun control issue is an obvious point of debate around every one of them. But that doesn't mean people don't want tighter gun control the rest of the time.
