Kingsman: The Secret Service

I've not seen it, but the wife has. I'm bewildered by anyone getting their knickers in a twist over the what what in the butt joke because surely it's no worse than any of the Bond one liners about boning someone that it's parodying.

I think what some people take issue with is that it didn't really fit with the tone of the rest of the film, most of the film is obviously and self-consciously parodying other secret agent type films but for that scene it could have been interpreted not as parody but as the one part they didn't make fun of. I enjoyed the whole film for it's silliness but I can see why it might have raised some eyebrows (in a more than Roger Moore way...).

100% it seemed utterly out of context. It added Nothing to the film but one cheap laugh. Not that it matters just surprised me tbh. :p

I'm sure it was supposed to be taken as parody, but perhaps she should have just been swooning over him (in an over the top way) a bit before to make it more obvious. Maybe that was cut for time constraints? Great film, didn't ruin it for me :p

I guess but the minute they met you could see how it was going to end if you have seen any bond film ever......:p Just without the weird bit :P

Well... How on earth did I not know about this film? I was listening to the Tested podcast the other day so asked my mate about it and he told me it was good. So I went out and bought the BR And watched it last night.. I thought it was brilliant. I loved the way that it poked fun at the whole spy genre and like others have said had elements of James Bond as well as Austin Powers. I have to say it was pretty brutal. The fight scene in the church was OTT but incredibly brutal. It was funny, cheesy(Intentionally) action packed and above all fun to watch..

I omitted this and watched it tonight on the recommendations in here and really enjoyed it I loved all the little nods to other films eg the flatspin from Top Gun etc.

I don't remember this joke? Which part of the film?

When the main chracter was about to release the princes from the cell but said he would come back as he had baddies to beat first! (He asked for a kiss and she offered him anal sex:eek: :p )

However I watched the UNCUT version, the UK version had a lot of stuff removed to lower the rating
