With the current Greek Euro crisis under way, are weekend breaks to Greece cheaper than usual?

I understand the risks - and I'm willing to risk it.

Looking to leave on a Friday and return on a Monday - anywhere in Greece that has a beach.

I'm flexible on dates, and two people are going (me and the wife).

Do you have any recommendations or suggestions?

The risk that Greek ATMs may restrict the amount of Euro's you're allowed to withdraw per day to something like 50 Euro/day.

Or the Euro no longer being the official currency of Greece.

At the weekend they said that tour operators had slashed prices by up to 50%. It's a way to go for a weekend, book yourself a bargain week. Mind you the bargains will disappear if they come to an agreement today.

Andrew Brown, from Post Office Travel Money, says couples spend an average of around £500 in cash on a fortnight's holiday

WTF !!!!!! :p

If you cut out your gourmet kebabs and vintage retsina it shouldn't be a problem. :p

You won't get many package weekend deals for Greece because the majority of charter operators will fly island destinations once a week from any given airport.
