'Mini Ice age' UK - Scaremongering?

Hahahah can't believe they are still publishing those 2 guy's work (not the authors of those articles but the "experts" that they are being fed by) - they've been discredited so hard its funny.

That said - if current long term patterns/predictions hold up we are in for some colder winters again atleast like 2009/10 - going into the lower activity dip in the solar cycle which will start to have an impact on winters from later 2016 through to possibly 2020, current el nino and jet stream patterns, etc. are also tentatively looking like they would cooperate in producing colder winters in combination with the other factors.

I get all my Weather reports from Frankie MacDonald @ ********, a far more reputable source than the UK 'Press'.

I remember a few years ago when derby/south Yorkshire had really bad snow, I wasn't driving at the time but looked really bad. I was push biking everywhere on a dirt jumper so wasn't too bad to get around for me anyway, but I really wouldn't like it if the snow was really bad on the tail end of this year.

Should this then not counteract global warming, or am I missing something?

Global warming does not mean that everywhere on Earth will constantly increase in temperature over time in every season. In-fact, climate models predict that one of the consequences of global warming is that Western Europe will have more extreme (cold) winters due to the weakening of the North Atlantic Oscillation (under-sea currents) brought about by melting of Arctic ice.

Really!

Earth only been around a few billion years, been blasted and smashed to bits.
Yet some clever ape that fell out of a tree a few thousand years ago can destroy it.

Just saying! :p

I'm still waiting for that "Hottest summer ever" that we were promised a couple of months back.

My Bloody heating came on this morning (The trigger point is 16C. Just like in the winter!)

Though I admit it was rather nice in the afternoon.
