I can't see a topic on here about this although it was proposed in Jan of this year so maybe already been a thread - searched a couple of times. No I am not disabled, and for those who don't know the ILF is additional financial support for disabled people at a cost of around £320m a year.

I really find this pretty sickening to be honest, especially after reading some stories about people who rely on this fund, fearing that they won't be able to get out of bed let alone live any kind of meaningful life.

I don't feel I am playing on the 'poor me' card but surely if anyone needs a bit of extra help it's the disabled.

The tories are trying to rediscover their toryeness again.

Thoughts?

They should stop subsidising companies, and wind farm projects etc.. they should only subsidise medical research.
Also MPs pension payout should be linked to the state pension payout when it comes to age, so if Joe gets his state pension at 70 so must the MPs. Mps work 13 years and start getting ther pension of 20k plus. so MP at 25 retires ate 38 gets pension of 20K per year for life.

While the fascination with MPs and their salaries or punishments is understandable, taking any of the measures suggested is going to have no measurable impact on the economy whatsoever. There are too few MPs and the sums involved are tiny.
