+1 in the top spec model i also think the new Mondeo is nicer to look at. Its sad that i can count on one hand how many new Mondeo's i have seen on the roadI honestly think the new Mondeo looks better.

Not a fan of these, I'm sure they are great, but they're not particularly striking, and the back is downright boring to look at.
I honestly think the new Mondeo looks better.
That vignale is nice enough.... But fundamentally it's playing in the same price bracket as the premium stuff.

But the premium stuff is playing at the Mondeo market with its cheap headlights
Actually thats unfair of me, even a basic Mondeo has proper projector lenses

Hmm it's not, e you can have a 530d for £31.5k new, with Xenons, Leather, Navigation, 260bhp, 8 speed auto and 0-60 in 6 seconds at current discount levels. Unless big discounts are available on the Vignale they will sell about zero.

I'm sure if you wait a year, there'll be large discounts if you can't already get it on the regular model.
Seemingly all you need to do well in this sector is a premium badge, good company car rates for the base diesel and a "sport" package of some description which adds poor ride comfort, ridiculous size wheels and a tarty bodykit. Everything else is a bonus.
So on that basis, projector lenses are unnecessary to sell these cars...

It would look 10x better with xenons. I think the XF looks sleeker though but can appreciate the XE is a bit smaller (at least feels like it in person).

Great review for the XE S, hope it goes on and sells a bucket load and help support British workers and engineering/manufacturing.
