anyone know what the legality is of having one of these ?
are you allowed to shoot at home shooting out of the window into the garden/farmers land ?

And on top of all the various legal restrictions, consider how your neighbours might react to seeing a gun barrel poking out of a window.

my neighbour has been doing that this evening !

sometimes we have my little 2 nephews and my niece running around in my garden !

How big is garden ? 12 ft lb air rifle although can be used out the window in to the garden, depends, also must be shot downwards and the pellet must not leave your fence boundry

Also neighbours ?

Could be a legit question my friends dad used to live out in the sticks with a nice back yard, and farms either side, used to shoot out his bedroom window when rabbits used to enter the garden boundry

AFAIK It's perfectly legal if you are shooting at animals considered to be vermin, such as Rats, Magpies, Estate Agents, Crows, etc.

You also can't discharge an air weapon within X distance of a public path or road. Something like 15m iirc. OP needs to swot up before armed response get all Mark Duggan up in there.

A mate of mine in school was a farmers son. His dad used to do that with rabbits in the vegetable garden on their farm.

No idea on the legality behind it mind you. But it scared the crap out of me one of the times I stayed over at his.

it is a legit question
why I am asking , is because we have had to phone the police a few times about him next door, he is very aggressive, and I believe he shouldn't be allowed a rifle, I think its in the wrong hands, he has fallen out with all his neighbours !

I wouldn't be impressed if I saw a neighbour with one of these, too many people shoot at cats for giggles.
Swap 'cat' for 'child' and you can see the potential for innocently hacking someone to death (for giggles, natch)
