First they stop Turkey twizzlers, then kenan and kel ends, then come along Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus and now this.

It's official, world's going to hell.
 
I think there will be a major backlash against Islam at some point in the future and muslims of all types (extreme and moderate) will be persecuted for decades.

I wonder whether people like Sega Man Dave (not the brightest button in the box) have ever considered how the last big global recession turned out when the blame game was played and how people with his views extrapolated, ignored and then justified some of the biggest crimes in human history.

We don't really know what has gone on here. Yes it's abhorrent, yes some Muslims are bat**** crazy in their jihadism. Most aren't though are they.

So Sega Man Dave did you call white people a cancer last week when a white bloke massacred some people because his ideological crazy was racism?

There is not such thing as a moderate Muslim in the European context, there are only passive and active Muslims.

When someone defines themselves by a religion which is the antithesis of European civilization, its impossible to regard them as anything less than hostile.
 
Poor guy. Hope the perpetrator is identified and dealt with.

I don't understand this. Please explain exactly. A Muslim cannot be moderate?
 
Genuinely not stirring up religious argument here but simply making a point - can these 'extremists' not be excused (poor choice of words I know) for violence when there are over 100 verses in the Koran promoting it?

There is only so much violence one can explain away as being perpetrated by a crazy few. Just look at the civil and inter-country wars going on in the name of Islam right now to see this isn't a matter of a few people. Are Islamic leaders addressing these teachings, particularly if it is down to misinterpretation?
 
Let's see which excuse will be used by the OCUK apologiests this time:

1) Media's fault - "If it was a white guy behind this attack he wouldn't have been called a terrorist"

2) Victim's fault - provoked by racist policy XYZ

3) Just a statistic - you're more likely to die crossing the street than by a jihadi attack

4) Old Faithful - But, but ... Israel.

5) Swivel-eyed loon: ban all religion/sky pixies etc.

The problem is the more these extremists behave like this, the more resentment will build, and the more this will self perpetuate until there's a big explosion of problems or war. Innocent people of various faiths/creeds/backgrounds will get sucked up into it for the right or wrong reasons - it's a rather sad/tense time :(

I just hope it's usual press sensationalism - but it doesn't help and continues to fan the flames about this sort of thing in such a distorted way.

Irrespective of that it's tragic news :(
