Skyscanner still best for cheap flights?

SkyScanner is still the most useful I find. Google Flights is worth a play with (But seems to link to direct airline booking engines which are often not the cheapest).

Only thing i've noticed with sky scanner when travelling si the more you search for the same flight the higher the price goes.

Tend to switch between devices when looking for flights.

I have never noticed this despite sometimes searching for particular flights almost daily. I've always seen people refer to it but I've never seen it actually happen and given that airfare pricing is almost exclusively done using fare buckets I can't see how it could happen?

Travel supermarket unless things have changed.

As they will scan all the sites including other scanners such as sky scanner.

******** - They only go higher when they want to slow down the bookings !

The cheapest you can get a flight and this is coming from someone who travels a lot on budget airlines is look well in advance ! If you go to Easyjet now or R- Air and look at places in Europe you can get a return for under £100 in DEC - Always book 6 months in advance.

If you looking for a flight in the next week to 2 weeks your going to be paying 35% more than what everyone else has trust me. late deals are a thing of the past.

I got our customised flights cheapest by going in Thomas Cook with the best price I could find online and they beat it via netflights which is part of their company.

I've had some good deals with Expedia recently - some of their combined hotel+flight deals aren't bad. Going to barcelona next week, booked it 3 weeks ago - flights for 2 people (easyjet from gatwick) at good times, 4 nights in a really highly rated central hotel for £650

Never even used Skyscanner, will have to check that out. I previously used a flight checker a friend suggested (he flies almost weekly) sadly I cannot remember its name.

Skyscanner is only good for going point to point.

I don't have a direct flight home BRU-GLA and the options it gives are very expensive and not the best.

ie it's cheaper to go aer lingus via dublin but it never gives this option only BA through heathrow or Amsterdam.

TLDR version

only for direct flights.

Cheapflights has just been redesigned and is really user friendly now

Trouble with them and pretty much ever other search engine other than skyscannet, is you can't search for cheap flights.

On skyscanner, you can leave destination airport blank, so you get a nice list up off what's available.
It's what makes skyscanner so good. In fact you can leave pretty much everything blank.

That's a good point, it would be better. I'll see if I can get something done about that ;)
