Attack on Tunisian hotel

I didn't consider Tunisia as a safe place earlier in the year when looking at holidays because of the risk of something like this

Insane, I don't get why people think this is in some way acceptable.

Part of me thinks we should be helping them but every time I see **** like this I cannot help but feel we would be better off giving them all the weapons they want, sealing the borders and letting them kill each other and never bother with the whole lot again.

Then I think of the genuinely good folk over there (I have an Egyptian friend and knew a couple of Tunisians at uni) and that they should suffer for a minority is terribly unfair.

The BBC say they came by boat.

LBC Had a woman tourist phone in locked in the hotel who said she had seen a man arriving by parachute with a machine gun.

LBC said they weren't sure if they were terrorists or security forces then they later said that report had been backed up by a few more tourists who had phoned the show.

Not seen it anywhere else but LBC were saying an hour ago that it was confirmed, but by who I don't know.

The BBC have someone who was on the beach say that they saw a hot air balloon deflating, and the couple that were supposed to ride in it, running away from the shooting. Possibly, the LBC eye witnesses getting confused, thinking the deflating hot air balloon was a parachute, when seeing it from inside a hotel.
I'm sure we'll find out for sure soon enough.

Another despicable attack, which aside from hurting the nationals being targeted will also have a longer lasting effect on the locals who rely on tourism.

An attack from sea, if that is the case, is also very worrying. These resorts are usually very safe and secure thanks to the security on land surrounding them, such as Sharm-el-Sheikh in Egypt, particularly in an area that has suffered terror attacks in the past.

My folks are there also at the moment, in the hotel imperial. No contact as they didn't take their mobiles. Travel company and fco are next to useless so nervously waiting for news.

I don't really know what to think anymore other than I want all the fighting to stop on all sides. Terrorists don't just do it for the lolz. Western civilization and attitudes are just as much to blame.

You maybe right, LBC haven't repeated the parachute claim after saying it was confirmed.

Sky are saying one terrorist arrived on the beach with an AK47 hidden in a beach umbrella.

At least 28 killed many expected to be British.
