Very different though.
Catholic church does not condone such things, where jihad, killing and other things are very much part of Islam and down to interpretation.

Then there's a big debate about if it is just a minority, a lot of polls have shown big "support" for both terrorism and Shari law.

The Catholic Church denounced the IRA. Islamic leaders very rarely denounce the terrorists.

Plus, it may be a minority, buts it a big minority and it's costing too many innocent lives to ignore.

I think your views on the Catholic church are a bit wrong with regard to the IRA, well to a degree. The Catholic church did influence and support the IRA through various means. The IRA and ISIS/Islamic fanatics, IMO, are actually fairly similar. Both follow legalistic/authoritarian agendas, both believe they are purists and the sole holders of of all sense of truth and interpretation regarding divinity, but their sense of truth and interpretation of text seems to breed a lot of violence, hatred and confusion.

Colonel Gaddafi had more influence on the IRA than the Roman Catholic Church (who I'm no fan of btw).
 
Im trying to move my booking but thomas cook are totally swamped with sorting things. Theyve told me my booking to the resort are on hold as of now as are all tunisian holidays, 26-29th thomas cook no holidays are going ahead with them bringing all tourists home from all hotels in tunisia including djerba island (which is were i was going)

Death toll has risen to 37 but it's good to see the Travel Agents are pulling all British tourists out of Tunisia now.

Gunmen attacked the Imperial Hotel and Hotel Club Riu Bellevue at Port El Kantaoui, near Sousse, earlier today. A number of people have been killed and injured. A British Embassy crisis team is on its way to the area.

Some attackers may still be at large. Any British nationals in these hotels or nearby should remain indoors, and contact their tour operator and the Foreign Office on the hotline number below. For security reasons they should not advertise their location on social media or when speaking to journalists.
