And if so, how is it?

It's the only Which? best buy, but the last test Which did was over a year ago.

Seems to be £150 at most shops, but Halfords have it currrently for £130.

Interested to know, also. I have one reserved at a nearby store, and paying for fitting..... but not sure on their approach - spoke with them, but have reservations on how it can be neatly achieved in my car, so they said to come in for them to asses and we can go from there. Big problem is that I won't have visible wiring, but the A pillars have airbags in.....

Pillar airbags are a non issue, there's usually plenty of space to tuck small wire in the gap between trim pieces, you won't be removing or disturbing anything

Well, good to know that the pillar airbags won't necessarily be a problem :) Guess I will find out their plans when I visit on Saturday - kind want to have a camera in place, and the 402G seems pretty well rated, and the fitting cost is low.....will keep y'all updated!

Update...Halfords guy, whilst decent and knowledgeable, reckons this would need to be a 2hr fitting. Seems there is nowhere sensible to mount behind the rear-view mirror (my car has a load of cameras and stuff there already, per factory) and thus to the lefthand side. Trouble then is that the cable would need to be routed left, down, all the way across, including through centre console et al, and then out into fuse box on drivers side of engine compartment.
Methinks that this is all going to be too much, with a large amount of trim being dislodged/wedged/levered etc., so I am giving up on this solution for now :(
