So basically I bought a processor off of ebay second hand. The thing turned up in a small plastic bag, with the huge heatsink in the same parcel which bent the pins. Obviously it doesnt work.

Tried to get my money back seller wont budge. Contacted ebay and they went with the seller.

So now I'm down £80 and have no way of getting said money back.

Oh and I left feedback for the poor packaging etc and ebay REMOVED IT. So the seller still has 100% feedback. Never new ebay were so rude and arrogant and controlling.

Surprised at this, they usually go with the buyer on all accounts! Keep going through paypal and you should get a refund

Yes I have gone the paypal route and hope for a positive outcome. :)

needforspeed -Do you think eBay made the decision based on your feedback?

Well I left the feedback after the decision hehe.

Recently sold a few bits myself.
Would have proffered MM but no access.

However all has gone smooth for me so far.
Really dislike using eBay with expensive things though.

I recently sold a cpu for about 80 quid on eBay. Guy on other end must have bent pins trying to seat it. Lucky eBay sided me the seller for once! Couldn't be bothered to take heat sink off as it was properly stuck

One time I bought a PS4 controller on Ebay and it never showed up, the guy claimed he'd posted it, offered a 50% refund, pleaded innocence blah blah. He actually had not bad feedback (50+ 100% positive), but Ebay sided with me without question.

What irritates me is I couldn't then leave feedback - why not? I had a bad experience dealing with this trader and people should know about this before trading with said user, irrespective of whether I got my money back or not in the end.

Ebay can get to ****. I only use Paypal for other bits and bobs but ebay is absolutely awful. I'd rather get £1 for something at a car boot than £100 on ebay and then have to deal with the morons that inhabit it.

Not much I dislike more than ebay.

//I am also incredibly unreasonable when it comes to ebay.

I've got a court date soon with Ebay over poor customer service, lies and horrific handling of a case which shouldn't have been sided with the buyer. The guy didn't even prove the item was faulty (which it wasn't by the way) and they STILL sided with him.
