Good on them I hope it makes them happy to be able to.
Being gay is genrally accepted ofc you get some people who object but they I feel are not worth mentioning. But sady it is some gay people that cause more issues than homophobic people.
I dont have issues with gay people getting married or being gay. But I have yet to understand why some gay people feel the need to jump around and be all in your face about it (you know the type the im the only gay in the village type). Same with the gay pride parade we dont have parades to say hey im straight so why do it. Gay people create just as much drama as homopobic people. So they like to screw the same sex then keep in in the bedroom because genrally sociaty does not care what happenes until it is throw in the faces.

Because the catholic church has no influence on government or the population. Firstly they are a business but they get to behave as a charity and pay little tax on what is one of the biggest businesses in the world.
It's funny how some people believe the church can do exactly what it wants and not adhere to anything told to it by the country it operates in. Want to act as a charity and pay lower taxes in America, abide by American laws, don't want to, leave, it's that simple.
The church spends millions, maybe billions over the years on opposing abortion FOR EVERYONE in the country and the world actually, they aren't telling their followers alone not to have abortions they spend money attempting to change legislation, they get involved in the political process, they spend money lobbying. Why should they be able to effect legislation change in America but should not be forced to abide by said legislation like everyone else has to?
