Negative feedback - threatening email

Can't comment as I don't know all the details so not taking sides. But lol at his "solicitor" involvement over negative feedback :D

Quote Consumer Credit Regulations, they can't charge a restocking fee if the product is in decent nick when it goes back (ideally unopened packaging).

Name of said company? Might "accidentally" put a negative review on trustpilot. :p

I'd tell him to put the solicitor rubbish up his hooter. :D

Leave the feedback there and leave it at that.

Don't post the company name here or go out of your way to leave additional negative reviews.

It might have been better if the OP had posted the Trustpilot review here so we could see what he actually wrote.

The content of the review could have warranted a solicitors letter, without seeing it it's difficult to make a judgement. Did the OP make a remark which was factually incorrect rather than just his opinion?

Isn't if normal to post reviews on Trustpilot on conclusion of the transaction and NOT part of the way through?

I've bought items from reputable traders and had to return them because of wrong sizing. Only on conclusion have I posted on Trustpilot.

OP: What would a solicitors letter actually achieve? You'd be asked to remove the Trustpilot review? The firm is unlikely to take you to court for damages and as such they would have to pay the solicitor (for his letter) and you'd remove the post even though if contains the truth? A hollow threat in my opinion.

Answer

Dear ****sock,

Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

Yours,
OP.

Magnolia you did pretty much the same post last month in another thread. You need to be more original - especially when you are just rewording Tom Cruise movies.
