Corsair 330R

I'm going to get my system re-cased by OCUK (so Fractal are out for the time being).

How does the Corsair 330R rate as an alternative? Will it be ok with an intel 4590 (non-oc obviously) and a galax 970 (factory oc only)?

I was also looking at the antec p100 but it lacks a fan controller and the reviews I can find show worse temps unless you install at least an extra intake fan.

I'm using the 330R and think it's great. Keep in mind the fan controller only comes with the Titanium 330R. I'm using an Akasa 6 way controller and it fits behind the door.

You will lose the sound dampening if you install fans in the top, as you have to take off the top panel. I'm using 5x120mm fans and it's still pretty quiet.

Do you think the default 140mm intake, 120mm exhaust will be enough for a 970?

I think it's a 120mm intake and exhaust? I think you'll benefit from two fans on the intake just to cool the hdd cage and get some airflow into the case.

I'll ask them to spec an extra intake fan then to be safe. I know nothing about fans so I could use a recommendation, which kind did you use for your build?

I'm using Akasa Apaches. I'll be honest and say I don't know a lot about fans either, I just found ones with 4pin pwm connectors so I could use a fan controller!
