Missed charges email despite auto renew turned off?

Weird, are you sure Auto Renew is disabled? Double check by logging in on the console and also on the PSN website with a PC or phone etc

Every time you pay for a subscription it switches auto renew back to on - this might have happened the last time you subbed.

ps3ud0

I can't actually find auto- renew in my account anymore ... but in Wallet there is :-

Wallet Settings
Require Password at Checkout Yes

and

Automatically Add Funds to Renew Subscriptions or Pay for Pre-ordered Content - mine is set to no

Mine says that but I still had a email. Is it a generic thing for when a subscription isn't renewed

4.Under "Wallet Settings", you can see whether "Automatically Add Funds to Renew Subscriptions" is set to Yes or No. To change the setting, click on "Edit" underneath the "Automatically Add Funds to Renew Subscriptions" setting.

5.Now click on the Yes/No dropdown next to "Automatically Add Funds to Renew Subscription" and select No to stop Auto Renewal then click "Save".

6.It will display a "Your Wallet settings have been saved" message once complete.

Note that this will stop all of your subscriptions from auto renewing.

* if they have attempted to take a payment , i'd kick up a fuss . They might give a freebie . And how did they fail to get the payment ? normally a DD goes out even if it takes you into the red. Unless of course you change cards since .

This is exaclty what i did. I am concerned they tried to take payment anyway. Only couldn't as I have removed card details and cancelled card.

Will call them in the morning

so called playstation support and the guy couldnt explain it.

its now being excalated. im a little alarmed to be honest. you tell sony specifically not to renew and the do it anyway seemingly

I have a theory to this. As I've got 2 quid in my ps wallet it might have assumed to take it from that.

The setting does not cancel auto renew but cancels automatic funding. It by default tried to take from the wallet and when there was not enough in there automatically created the email
