i5 2500k 3.3 ghz
p8z68-v pro motherboard socket 1155
8 gb ram
850 PSU

can anyone recommend a good replacement for a ok price?

Well I've just purchased a 780Ti from the MM and it is superb at 1080P. Well chuffed.

At this rez a 780Ti or 970 is ideal.
