Hello,

I own a V Plate 1999 Vauxhall Tigra ( I know it is a hair dressers car, not a blokes car, what can I say I have had it for 12 years ! ) and I changed the battery the other day.

Now the passenger central door locking is not working and the driving switch for the passenger electric window will not work on the up direction !
Now the said issues were not there before I changed the dead battery, so that means there is some sort of re-programme procedure I have to do get the passenger door to respond !

Any ideas please ?

Many thanks

In the newer vauxhalls for the windows, you generally hold down the switch in the desired direction to get it to work automatically. not sure if that counts if its not working at all! Try disconnecting/reconnecting the battery again to see if that helps :p

It hasn't blown the fuses for those functions when you've attached the new battery has it? Usually the only thing that needs "reprogramming" on a car of that age after a battery swap is the radio code.

I remember a while back when a fuse went that I did have to hold down the window button. I might have to take out the fuses out for central locking & electric windows to try and reset the buggers !
