Silica and Ecowool, I remember using them both way back when I first started rebuilding, Horrible.

Cotton or Mesh or GTFO.

Fixed that for you V_R :D

Silica & eco-wool no difference, both pant's.

Well the Kanger Subox kit is being sent back and exchanged for another Nautilus Mini but with UKecigstore's one mod box.

Very good of them
to do the exchange and they seem to have a very large choice of juice's.

Stop lying... lol :P
tbh they always been ok with me, they just have a bad rep...

I quite like silica in certain tanks where I can't see the juice level. lol

never used mesh, this is the main reason why I've never had a gennie... I really like the looks of the nextgen and pandora.. but the blow torch is a bit too much

lol Slinxy,

To be honest I never actually looked at reviews based on the rep. Took a risk but seems to be working out for me. :D

Speaking of wicks is there a synthetic fiber with high burning tolerance and the ability to soak up liquid? Maybe some form of softened kevlar or poly based material? Main concern would be chemicals coming from the hot material.

istick 40w TC ordered, hopefully with me on Sat!

Where from mate? not that I'm going to order one.. lol

Been vaping 50/50 12mg sherbert lemon all day, it's nice but I think I've been vaping high 75 for too long as the throat hit is too much for me and I've dialed the power right now, so much that the tank is still almost full.. lol

a bit of high vg subohming custard is in order i think..

Ecigone, now saying they have stock...so we'll see if I get a dispatch notification tomorrow :)

Been high vg subbing all day, 4 tanks of vapours oven max vg frozen forest at 0.3/55w lovely!!

E: ffs, they just updated the store page, won't be getting them until early next week now, good job I ordered a black one as that's all they're getting too!!

the ones I've seen on fasttech look different from the ones that's being reviewed on youtube... I think I wait for the bigger battery version; if and when that comes out. I've gone the whole week without charging a single battery.. :)

Asked many times no doubt but there's a lot of pages so I thought I'd ask just at the end.

Wana stop smoking want to try calling what do I get and how much should I spend, hopefully not a lot.

Mainly smoke cos of the relaxing breath it in then out cos I never get any buzz or happy feeling from cifs unless once in a blue moon I'm outside and there's a bit of wind and a smoke knocks me for six sometimes but that's happened very very few times. Which I don't understand tbh.

BTW does vaping give u any sort of buzz or is it just for relaxing like cigs do?

Wish I could smoke weed all day but price and how to get it lol. So maybe vaping for now.

It can do if your not used to it, the first time i vaped i got a massive head rush but vaping is not like smoking u take less puffs.

smoke free for a year now happily vaping :) You really should try vaping a good mod just ignore the crappy disposables ones, get a goood setup and its really cheap

Hi mate, recommendations are on the first post for kit... As for the buzz; you can get nicotine head rushes, sometimes when I vape too much mainly because of sub ohming I have to tell myself to stop. Lol

You can get weed flavour juices, YouTube has videos on how to make it too, but I've never tired them... Not doubt you may be able to get juices with THC in them too but I think that would be more of a specialist area and not sold opening online in this country.

BTW I have to ask. Since I loath menthols as I tried them once, does vaping e liquid cos of flavours added have that horrid lung pain icy kinda pain I guess I'd call it or is it more of a normal CIG inhale. As I bought 10pk once tried menthols and only got to half a CIG then threw the rest in the bin they hurt or had that horrid lung feeling too much.

BTW in OP is the beginner's recommendations up to date for 2015? As there was a link to this 2 pack thing for £20 I looked on the site and they had a stainless steel I presume version for same price and had 43 reviews.

Things I have no clue of the parts of em, I hate cleaning stuff and dunno how long liquid or battery lasts. Does it last as long as a 20 PKT of cigs or less or more?

What is the monthly cost of these things and the liquid, is it cheaper than cigs as I buy say 2 packets of 18 players SK a week maybe another 10 Pk at wkend.

Juices come in 1000s of flavours, but are normally broken down into sub groups...

Tobacco; to emulator smoking taste
Fruit; for fruit juices
Dessert; custards, yogurt, milks and biscuits etc...
Menthol; the ones that you wont like...

you will basically find many juices that taste rank and then find some that you keep buying again and again mixing it in with new flavours to try. Some people have only tried one or two juices and are happy with that, I like to vape different flavors throughout the day.

Some people mix their own for starch, some from pre-made supplies and some just get two/three bottles of off shelf juices and mix that way.

Cleaning is ensure to vaping... I'm OCD lol
You want to keep your mod (the power pack device) clean for health and safety reasons... certainly the buttons and connectors. It's nothing much, just a wipe down with a damp cloth now and again.. and a dry wipe on the connector when your changing/filling you juice. This helps to stop the mod from blowing up, miss-firing and keeps it in top shape. Treat it like a mobile phone and it will be fine.

more advance mods, mechs, high end products require special looking after, oils and waxes... etc.. but most people don't use them, nor will ever be interested in them. lol

The tank system, where you put your juice needs to be ran under the tap and dried out. some people use ultra sonic cleaners, but my juices are never that dirty or stained... this will help with the flavor. You wouldn't eat with a dirty knife and fork. :)

Batteries; again when you first start last about a working day.. 9-5, the more expensive the bigger the mah, and the more power they hold, the longer you have before charging.. the battery will warn you before it goes flat, with a meter or flashing lights.

What is the monthly cost of these things and the liquid, is it cheaper than cigs as I buy say 2 packets of 18 players SK a week maybe another 10 Pk at wkend.

Too much for me and some others here, it's more like an hobby :)
basically you can pick up juices for as little as a pound all the way up to 60 pounds a bottle, some 'special' juices can run in to the £100s but they are more of a gimmick. A normal price for a good juice would be around 5 pound (I think) mark for a 10 ml bottle. That should last a week when you first start.

Atomizer heads are disposable items, the life of them vary depending on make and model, the juice your using and of course how much you vape. Once the juice is losing flavor or your getting poor vape, swap the head. When you get more into vaping, you might want to make your own, then it can become cheaper. Start coils are around 2-3 pound a head (again I think lol) and last about 1-2 weeks.

Mods and tanks are one of buys, you don't tend to rebuy the same device twice.. you either move on to the next latest and greatest device, way before the battery life dies. but the batteries inside them or removable battery would last around 6 months - 12 months, depending on how they used and make and model of battery. You may end up with loads of different mods and tanks, as there's many different styles/ways to vape, but that's choice at the end of the day.

You will be better off getting the istick and silo combo listed in the first post, I know it cost more but it's by far a better setup and something I still use from time to time, even thou I have stuff that far more expensive unlike the mini protank starter kit, which I used for about a week.

Cheers for your posts, very helpful.

Ive seen a few recommendations for things called vivi nova for the tank, and eco twist for a battery i presume thats all u need.

They any good?

Also is this site reliable as in has anyone here tried it and was delivery quick or dead slow.

Hope ur allowed to post sites, OP did i think.

Yub, that's all you need... Never used neither of them, but if you get the aspire or kanger version of the ego twist, it should be fine.

There is an aspire starter pack with a twist battery and nautilus mini kit from cloud 9 vaping... Which is a beefed up version of them...

Some of us to order from fast tech, me included but the site is full of fakes and clones... Different people have different rules, I wouldn't order any battery devices that's not marked as authentic from there. They are super slow; lol..

Do get a branded twist thou, you don't want your first battery to be a fake and not have the experience to spot the dangers..

What would you say is the best cheapest but genuine items location of items to buy. Im trying to "try vaping" so i dont want to get something expensive for the first time incase i dont like it. So since you know ur stuff from your replies anyhow lol if u can recommend me somit for £20 max and 1 flav to test that isnt expensive but should last a week or two as a sampler kinda thing. Ill get that. Hopefully then ill have something of some quality but not too expensive and maybe i can build on i guess in future if i do get into it.

This site seems to offer £10 off kanger batteries. Is that a good deal?

That's a tad hard, I don't often look at the starter end of the market..
When I first started, I got an ego and ce4 from Liberty Flights for about £17 quid with free juice. I used it for about a week, then moved on the variable power devices.

You really want advice from someone with more recent experince, just don't buy a subtank, isub or anything with sub in the name or description as your first tank. RY4, is a good start juice, it's a bend of 4 tobaccos and sweet; some people vape nothing else.

The starting cost is high, one of the reasons why I didn't start vaping sooner; but cigs don't cut it for me now.. And the kit I get now are like 10x more expensive than the first kit I got, but worth it in my eyes.

I'm not sure I understand the high watt vaping at all. I use my vw stick with a coil at about 1.8-2.2 ohms, and vape at 6watts. At 6watts the vape is cool, flavorsome and just a small throat hit.

I got a subox thinking I could get the same smooth hit and flavor with more vaper (and a better looking/smaller vw mod), but so far I'm unable to do so. I'm getting a harsh throat hit at anything above 8watts.

What am I doing wrong?

6 watts or 6 volts bud?

I don't think any of my devices will fire that low, I'm normally around 15 watts.

It's all about the juice, it's only in the past 6-7 months sub ohming has taken over and a lot of the juices don't work at high temperatures as the juice market is now catching up. It took me a while to find juices that will work with me sub ohming but you basically want to half your nic level, and to get higher VG juice (around 75:25). The more VG the smoother it will be and you will basically get the same nic intake if not more as your vaping more juice. As for flavour, it's really hit and miss as they are design to be release at certain temperatures, too high and it taste over cooked, to low and it's not releasing all it can.

It's worth trying 6 or 3mg jax custards sample packs, if you've not do so yet. I don't like custards at normal temps, but love the warm soft and smooth intake of it when sub ohming.. Plus it's cheap. :)

6 watts. Been on 6 watts for as long as I can remember when I first got my vamo (I think it was 6watts back then), im using a Sigelei now (definitely on 6watts).

I mix my own juice, 8mg strength about 60% VG. I did notice that I got a much stronger nicotine hit. Ill have to experiment with my next batch.

I would recomend the Aspire kit, as someone who went through cig a likes, then a few rubbish clearomiser style kits first. I still use it now, if i want omething lighter and more discrete. Even the Aspire VV battery and a K1 tank would be a great start if you don't want to spend the extra on a Natilus Mini yet.

Cloud9 have always been a good shop to buy from for all my orders too. Nice and quick.
