Damaged blu ray bought from eBay.

I've just bought a blu ray box set from eBay and 20 minutes in to the first episode it is already freezing and jumping 10 - 15 seconds. I took the disc out to see a 2cm scratch from the center of the disc out.

I've never had a problem with eBay before so don't really know what to do, I've contacted the seller to tell them what has gone wrong but from there I'm a bit clueless.

Just return it for a refund. Most eBay sellers play by the rules and will do this without problem. If they don't, open a dispute with PayPal

Don't go telling them or Ebay that you played the disc before checking it, they can claim your player did the damage and Ebay will side with them.

I said that years ago and got hammered for it, people argued it doesn't happen that often. But it does; multiple forums it's like a daily thing. I'll never use it again
