I love a good meltdown and Reddit is currently in the midst of an epic one.

It appears the sacking of one of the Admins has sparked a flame of resentment regarding current affairs on the site.

Where you there for the Digg one? It's like that all over again. Pao and the rest of the board haven't a clue what they're doing.

Alexis Ohanian, founder of rival site Reddit, said in an open letter to (Kevin) Rose (about Digg V4):

... this new version of digg reeks of VC meddling. It's cobbling together features from more popular sites and departing from the core of digg, which was to "give the power back to the people."[49]

Not followed much. All I know is someone AMA person was sacked or let go, many subreddits have gone private in protest.

What's the big deal over this?

So from what I can gather after I tried to read the reddit thing is that

- Someone who played AMA got fired
- People closed off their subforums things
- People are losing their minds

Stuff I still can't understand

- What is AMA
- Why?

Hold on...I don't care now, the layout annoys me.

never understood people moaning about forums..if they dont like them or they way they are run...host your bloody own and you can do what you like

nobody forces you to use that particular one

Yep, and loving every minute of it. This has been coming for a while, and Victoria's dismissal has been the perfect catalyst. Let it burn in it's current form, get that vacuous quasi-feminista gold digger Pao out and start to rebuild.
