Hi,

looking for recommendations on a new tablet. I had the nexus 9 which was great but after returning 3 tablets for backlight issues I thought I would try the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and after using the tablet tonight have decided the tablet isn't for me.

Looking for stock android if not as close, the Samsung version is very laggy especially in Firefox which struggles a lot.
Also LTE model preferred.

the Sony Z3 offers a good stock-like experience. Not quite as high as resolution as the Tab S but according to reviews overall is considered a nippier and nicer thing. The new Z4 has a resolution to match the Tab and an even quicker cpu but is currently only available from the Sony store for reasons i can't quite fathom.

I'm planning a new tablet too in the next week or so and will certainly be getting one or the other.

have been looking at the shield and was put off after reading some posts on there forums. Plus is there not a Shield 2 reportedly due any time? ... may order 1 from Amazon and return if I don't get on with the tablet.

z4 looks good but bit too big, looking for around 8" tablet with similar spec to the nexus 9

will take a look at the z3 too.
