Travellers rejoice - the Supercard is here.

Wahoo working.
I emailed them, and they emailed back a temp password.
All working fine, I think the problem was my long complicated password, when I tried changing the temp password it just wouldn't have it, but didn't say password wasn't comparable. Just the normal details are wrong.

Anyway all sorted and no Indian call centre.

I'm using it in croatia, the rates are pretty much the same as xe.com

I'm satisfied and its better than using my clarity for withdrawals as that affects your credit rating.

Has anyone else tried their Supercard for a motorway toll booth? Tried mine once in Portugal last week and it was denied. At least I think that what the message was :D A normal Visa debit worked.

Make sure you let them know. I've been chatting to them on Twitter and they have resolved a few things for me. This is a pilot too no? So I guess they need the feedback?

Got mine through at the weekend and activated it, will see if it works at the end of the week as I'm off to Sorrento

My guess would be that the tolls don't authorise transactions online to check funds are available in advance, and the Supercard only allows transactions authorised in real time so any offline authorisations will be declined.

Makes sense. Means that they're not left picking up the tab then trying to fine us due to funds not being available.

Still it would be nice if could do say up to £20 worth without having to first authorise online.

Thread revival. Just received an email stating that the pilot is ending but a full rollout is commencing this summer - nice!

well, I hope there's not much downtime.
Hello,
Thank you for being part of the Travelex Supercard pilot. We're delighted to say you've been part of an enormous success. Simply by using Supercard, people like you have effortlessly avoided bank card roaming charges when spending abroad. To date, Supercard has been used every two minutes in over 43 countries around the world. Hurrah!

And that's why we want you to be amongst the first to hear the good news: Supercard has the green light to launch nationwide this summer. That means all your friends and family will at last have the opportunity to get a Supercard and start saving too.

To allow for a smooth transition, the Supercard pilot will formally come to a close at 00:01 on Tuesday 7th June 2016, and your current card will stop working on that date. But, fear not, you’ll be the first to know about how you can get your hands on a free new Supercard and we'll be in touch again nearer the time with full details.

Meanwhile, please carry on using your Supercard and say goodbye to bank card roaming charges.

Hope the new one is back by July.

I had a few issues using mine in NZ, I had to phone travelex who quickly sorted it then I had no problems anywhere with it.
