F1 2015

Locking replays to 30 fps is fine, that's better then project cars with its hideous unlocked shonky fps that tear all over the shop.. And in career you get podium animation's and whilst not essential adds to atmosphere. Again on up on project cars, which erm has one only pit crew chappie.

I dunno , please gt7 save the ps4 at least from its recent racing game drought...

Project cars falls short IMO
Drive club is great for photo mode
Not sure about f1 2015 as not played it yet

Ride was IMO dreadful
And moto gp continues to disappoint.

The podium bits look like something that have been lifted out of an early 2000s F1 game, very odd.

Any word on the co-op championship being included?

Looking forward to this, but wish they hadn't modelled the drivers for anything other than sitting in or getting in/out of the car - they look crap as said above. Also they've used the modelled heads for the grid lineup which is just bizarre - real photos would have been much better.

I'm not bothered if no career mode just means that one season doesn't roll into the next - as long as I can have a single full season on it's own that's fine.

Will wait for the reviews but its got a long way to go if it wants to beat project cars F1 cars

I don't think any F1 game could beat Project Cars just due to the fact it has one tier of cars and is based around one licensed race format.

From all the preview videos thus far it seems like the actual racing is competitive and challenging.

I think Project cars is overrated crap tbh.. The handling feels all wrong and the devs are so far up their own behinds.

Just my opinion of course.....:D

I've purchased every F1 game by Codemasters since 2010 and each year I vowed I wouldn't buy on launch or until I'd seen a few reviews however I did, every time and each time I was somewhat disappointed with what they had come up with.

This 2015 release has a LOT to live up to if it's truly going to be a "Next Gen" title as they say, not just in the graphics department but in the car handling and physics too, and going on what I've seen so far I can't say I'm overly impressed, I've seen low res textures and dodgy driver animations amongst other things.

This time round I am definitely going to wait for reviews and some proper game play footage before I make my decision about this one, there needs to be a massive jump forward from previous years releases now in my opinion.

The SMS devs are to be honest on a whole new level of arrogance I must admit. They do not take criticism to their work well at all.. No dev does ,but SMS are now right up their as lets face it, project cars was and is still a mess of a game. And I had big hopes for project cars. Last game I ever get so hyped for....

Reason I'll wait to see how this one pans out first...

Formula A with wheel and pedals, in helmet view is just superb .

Granted you have to mess about with loads of settings tho

There are YouTube videos on team vvv channel. It's not impressive Tbh. Moments of screen tearing and not what I'd called anything ground breaking in visuals..

Think I'll give this one a miss .....

I thought I was being picky - but is this me or does this look almost previous gen, and watch for the screen tearing which he (Team VVV ) does admit some circuits he claims runs better then others, but generally for the meh visuals and also that awful lens flare effect I'm not all that impressed.

Disappointment yet again, wow this gen has really churned out some very average looking /feature content lacking racing games. Can't hide my disappointment truth told.

Are racing games falling out of favor or is the genre doomed for this gen? i'm almost tempted to just go buy a second hand PS1 and go back to TOCA or GT2 - rose tinted glasses maybe?

It looks ok to me tbh. It's also pre-release code I think. There are videos of people playing the actual game and it looks to run well...

We shall see.....

Just been watching the Xbone version apparently you can switch to the 2014 season if you so wish and it also has kinect voice commands support :)

Some better info in this video.

The graphics don't look like anything special to me. I'm not quite sure they are bad enough to be compared to last gen though.
